外国人夫婦に日本で赤ちゃんが生まれたら？在留資格の手続を忘れずに

日本で生活する外国人のご夫婦に赤ちゃんが生まれた場合、市区町村への出生届だけで手続がすべて終わるとは限りません。

日本で生まれた子どもが日本国籍を持たず、出生後60日を超えて日本に滞在する予定の場合には、原則として、生まれた日から30日以内に地方出入国在留管理官署で「在留資格取得許可申請」を行う必要があります。

まずは市区町村へ出生届

在留資格取得許可申請では、出生したことを証明する書類が必要となるため、まず市区町村で出生届の手続を行います。

その後、入管で在留資格取得許可申請を行います。

申請では、

• 在留資格取得許可申請書
• 出生したことを証明する書類
• 予定する活動内容を明らかにする資料
• 住民票の写し等

などが必要となります。

出産後はさまざまな手続があり、とても慌ただしい時期です。

しかし、外国籍のお子さまの場合には、「出生届」と「在留資格」は別の手続です。

期限がありますので、忘れないように注意しましょう。

A Baby Is Born in Japan: Don’t Forget the Status of Residence Procedure

If a child is born in Japan and does not have Japanese nationality, an immigration procedure may be required.

If the child will stay in Japan for more than 60 days after birth, an application for acquisition of a status of residence generally must be submitted within 30 days from the date of birth.

First, complete the birth notification procedure at your local municipal office.

After that, apply for the child’s status of residence at a Regional Immigration Services Bureau.

Required documents may include the application form, documents proving the child’s birth, documents concerning the child’s intended activities, and a copy of the residence record.

After a baby is born, parents have many procedures to complete. Please remember that the birth notification and the immigration procedure are separate procedures.

Em bé sinh tại Nhật Bản – Đừng quên thủ tục tư cách lưu trú

Nếu trẻ được sinh ra tại Nhật Bản và không có quốc tịch Nhật Bản, có thể cần thực hiện thủ tục về tư cách lưu trú.

Nếu trẻ dự định tiếp tục ở Nhật quá 60 ngày kể từ ngày sinh, về nguyên tắc phải làm thủ tục xin tư cách lưu trú trong vòng 30 ngày kể từ ngày sinh.

Trước tiên, hãy làm thủ tục khai sinh tại cơ quan hành chính địa phương.

Sau đó, thực hiện thủ tục xin tư cách lưu trú cho trẻ tại Cục Xuất nhập cảnh.

Các giấy tờ cần thiết có thể bao gồm đơn xin tư cách lưu trú, giấy tờ chứng minh việc sinh con, giấy tờ liên quan đến hoạt động dự kiến của trẻ và bản sao giấy cư trú.

Sau khi sinh con có rất nhiều thủ tục phải thực hiện. Hãy nhớ rằng thủ tục khai sinh và thủ tục tư cách lưu trú là hai thủ tục riêng biệt.
